It would probably have to be Ansel Adams, whose photgraphs revolutionized and changed the way society viewed nature.
Ansel Easton Adams (February 20, 1902 – April 22, 1984) was an American photographer and environmentalist, best known for his black-and-white photographs of the American West, especially in Yosemite National Park.
It would be impossible to know who was the first nature photographer. Presumably nature photography has been around as long as the camera. Cherry Kearton is credited as a pioneer of wildlife photography and film. He filmed Theodore Roosevelt’s research trip to Africa.
