Who was the first to herd animals for food?

    There is evidence of it occurring in a few different places on Earth a long time ago. Neolithic Stone Age people of Southwest Asia domesticated sheep and goats, the Fertile Crescent saw Stone Age people harvesting wild pig, and even keeping them. Cro-Manon man is thought to have domesticated horse and camel, but not to eat.

    Neolithic African peoples herded Sheep. goats, and cattle. They are seen in some cave painting in Algeria. Australia there were no herding animals.
