Who thought of seed bombs?

The name and concept of seed bombing was invented by a New York City resident named Liz Christy in 1975, who along with some like-minded activists attempted to reclaim vacant lots by spreading topsoil over them and planting. After a while the city went along with it and started renting the land out for people to cultivate.
