Who started the green movement?

    I’ll tell you who it wasn’t: Al Gore. He is the man, and he deserves a lot of credit… but when I was in third grade, I attended elementary school at Carcroft in Wilmington, DE and we were taught some lessons on the deforestation of the rain forest and the challenge to preserve our natural environment and do what we can to curtail of uses of resources and thus, STOP GLOBAL WARMING! AND THAT WAS BEFORE AL GORE WAS EVEN POPULAR! so it started long ago, in my research earlier today I came across someone who was doing things the “green way” even in the 1800’s — check out the link:
