Future generations will. We won’t understand the bulk of human impacts on the environment until we see them. It is also easier to take information about what has happened and go backwards to figure out why. It is much much harder to try to project and forecast what the effects are and what changes should be made.
I agree with chewbear. Unfortunately, I think that, given the path we are currently on, the worst effects of climate change and the overall degradation of the environment and natural resources may remain to be seen. Luckily though, many believe that these consequences can be slowed and eventually (hopefully) reversed if the correct measures are taken.
