Historically, Toyota has – the Corolla ranked near the top of fuel efficiency of conventional cars, and its hybrid Prius was the first hybrid to really hit the market. More recently, pretty much every car company offers fuel efficient cars. Consumers are tired of high gas prices, and have demanded more fuel efficient cars to cut their gas bills. So GM, Ford, and Chevy, among others, have come out with hybrids and more fuel efficient models.
Honda now is a top fuel efficient car. All of their cars get great gas mileage, and they keep adding hybrid cars to their list: the Honda Insight, the civic hybrid sedan, the civic GX Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV), and the FCX clarity hydrogen fuel cell vehicle.
