Who made the first plug in hybrid?

    Technically, the first plug-in hybrid was produced in 1969 by General Motors. This experimental car was called XP-883 and was able to plug directly into 120 volt American AC outlet for charge. However, more recently, Renault produced its “Elect’road” in Europe in 2003.
