The earliest form of Corn fuel made can be traced back to the Ford Motor Vehicles company as far back as 1907. It was made from corn and alcohol mainly.
G. Chavanne from the University of Brussels in Belgium was the first to patent the process of transesterification of vegetable oils in 1937. This chemical process basically breaks down vegetable oils molecularly in order to form biodiesel as the main product.
