Lisa Jackson is the current head of the EPA. At a time when environmental protection is such a high priority, her role is indeed important. Jackson has worked with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the oldest Hispanic Organization in the U.S., on environmental issues. She was Chief of Staff for the state of New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection, and was also an employee of the EPA for sixteen years. Her experience in the field make her an asset to the current administration.
