Who has lived the longest in the desert?

If you mean human survival, then it would be Robert Bogucki who lasted 43 days in the Great Sandy Desert in Australia. But if you mean civilizations that would be debatable. People have lived in the middle east for over 12,000 years while there are other civilizations across African deserts and American deserts that have no certainty of length but have a long history of survival.
