In terms of restoring damaged and degraded habitats, that often depends on who destroyed them in the first place, or who is willing to take on the responsibility of restoring them. For example, no one has yet to say “I am responsible for restoration in this rainforest!” but many non-profit organizations and research entities have taken on such efforts as a means to better understand ways to implement large-scale initiatives.
