Climate change was actually coined back in beginning of last century and was later replaced by global warming when scientists noticed that the trend in climate changes was to a gradually warmer average global temperature. Climate change as a term resurfaced as it became increasingly more obvious that the effects of this warming were not going to be felt evenly across the globe as warmer weather; increased extreme extreme weather could involve drought, flooding, and even colder temperatures. The term how ever is also the preferred nomenclature for people who don’t believe that humans are responsible for the climate changes in question (i.e. what is known as anthropogentic climate change).
