The carbon cycle was discovered by Joseph Priestly and Antoine Lavoisier. It was well popularized by Humphry Davy. Carbon cycle is a biogeochemical cycle by which carbon is exchanged among the biosphere, pedosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere of the Earth. it is a important cycle of the Earth and allows for carbon to be recycled and reused throughout the biosphere and all of its organisms. The carbon cycle is the thought of as including the following major reserviors of carbon interconnected by pathways of exchange: the atmosphere, terrestrial biosphere, oceans, sediments like fossil fuels and earth’s mantel and crust to  release the atmosphere by volcanos and geothermal systems.
