The Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 Universal Exhibition and Centennial of the French Revolution.
Those involved in it’s creation.
The tower was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel. It was completed in 1889, and was opened by the King Edward VII to celebrate the 100-year-anniversary of the French Revolution. The tower takes 58 thousand kilowatts of energy to stay lighted.
