Is the mining of white gold the same as yellow gold?

Yes. White gold is an alloy of gold.  White gold is made by adding yellow gold with another metal such as nickle.  Yellow gold is the only gold found in mines. It is then formed into other colored gold, such as white or rose gold, by adding other elements.

White gold isn’t mined, it’s made. White gold actually is a gold alloy, usually of gold and nickel or palladium. Both are whiter metals and lend properties to the gold to enhance it in some way.
