A recent Greenpeace investigation exposed little-known U.S. oil company Koch Industries as a major source of funding for global warming skeptics. From 1997-2008, Koch donated $47 million to various climate change opposition groups. From 2005-2008, it donated $25 million. This is nearly three times the what higher-profile oil companies like ExxonMobil spent during the same period. Koch Industries is a $200 billion conglomerate that operates in almost 60 countries.
