It is actually quite astounding how little money each state spends on renewable energy. In 2009, all the states received a total of $3.1 billion of stimulus money )under the stimulus law for energy efficiency and renewable energy efforts), and only 7.1% of it was spent.
Delaware actually made the most of their money, spending 45% of the $24 million received. California spent 12% of its $226 million received. Texas spent the least amount of money, less than 1% of the $218.8 million received.
