Texas, Arizona, New Mexico. Last year, Texas had the most acres burned. Its wet winters and springs resulted in a lot of vegetation growth. During the high temperature months in the summer, all the vegetation are fuel to fires.
To add to that, last year Arizona had a huge forest fire known as the “Wallow Fire”. It forced the evacuation of thousands of residents to New Mexico. It burned more than 469,000 acres – the largest in Arizona’s history.
