Which state has the highest crime rate?

    Several factors such as car theft, assault, robbery, and rape are taken into account when compiling crime rate.  Some states may have a higher car theft rate, but a lower assault rate.  However, according to CQ Press’s annual crime rate scale, these are the fifteen most dangerous states.  1. Nevada, 2. New Mexico, 3. Louisiana, 4. South Carolina, 5. Tennessee, 6. Florida, 7. Delaware, 8. Maryland, 9. Arizona, 10. Arkansas, 11. Alabama, 12. Georgia, 13. Oklahoma, 14. Alaska, and 15. California.
