This is arguable, as there are a lot of states that have very nice programs. New Jersey, however, appears to be doing a very good job of it. All solar power equipment is sales tax exempt, as well as being exempt from property taxes. Homeowners get between $1 and $1.75 per watt produced, and there are other incenives to make it incredilby profitable to generate solar power in New Jersey. This is good, as it is a goal of the state to produce 22.5% of public utility power by 2021.
