The black widow spider, despite not being aggressive, is the leading cause of death by spider bites in the United States. It has venom that is fourteen times more powerful than a rattlesnake, but it isn’t aggressive thankfully, so if you’re careful, you can avoid its bites.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Brazilian wandering spider is considered to be the world’s deadliest spider. This was based on the spider’s venom being able to kill a certain number of mice. A human bit by a Brazilian spider is not likely to kill instantly.
