Based on average egg yields, the Hawksbill turtle lays the most, with an average nest of 130 eggs. This species of sea turtle can lay up to 200 eggs per season. Hawksbills return to their natal beaches every 2-3 years, and nest approximately every 15 days, which totals 3-5 nests per season. They typically nest on pocket beaches, with very low amounts of sand.
