Asia is the region with the most tigers. The six remaining subspecies – the Amur, Bengal, Indochinese, Malayan, South China, and Sumatran – are all found in Asia. Sadly, all six subspecies are threatened by poaching and habitat destruction.
There are six different subspecies of tiger and most are found on the Asian continent. They are all over China and in the northern part of North Korea. Certain species of tiger can also be found in Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Laos, and Vietnam. Other species are in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Burma. There is also a species of tiger that can only be found on the island of Sumatra.
Asia is the region with the most tigers as mire2187 and nellieliz4 have already stated. This link to the World Wildlife website includes interactive maps that show where tigers are and the areas that need the most protecting for tigers.
