In terms of measured snowfall, mountains in Washington state receive the most, simply because snowfall isn’t measured in other areas of the world. In the 1998-99 season, which ran from July 1-June 30, the Mt. Baker Ski Area in western Washington state measured 1,140 inches of snow, which is the recorded world record.
