    Actually, there is some debate about what the oldest museum in existence actually is. However, based on what I was able to find, the oldest museum is The Royal Armouries, in London, England. It’s in the White Tower of the Tower of London – the notorious prison/torturehouse of 17th century London. It has one of the world’s largest collections of weapons, firearms, and armour, and also holds the history of the Tower of London itself. It opened as a museum in 1660, but there is evidence that people were able to view the collection by appointment earlier than that. To give that number some meaning, that is about the same time that John Milton wrote Paradise Lost!

    No its a museum in Spain. It was opened in the 13th century.
