Which ocean is colder Atlantic or pacific?

    According to Answers.com, the Atlantic is colder. In the northern regions of the Atlantic, the surface temperature can be as low as -2 *C, 28*F. Closer to the equator, the temperature is more likely a constant of 27*C, 81*F. The Pacific is a little warmer than that. Its coldest temperatures are about 0*C, 32*F. The average surface temperature for the Pacific near the equator is more like 30*C, 86*F.
