Yellowstone Park has the most forest fires. It is the biggest national park in America, which could contribute to it having the most fires on its land. The forest trees have even adapted to the fires spreading. Some of the Lodgepole pines, which make up 80% of all the trees in the area, have adapted to the point where fire must be used in order for their pinecones to release their seeds. Here, fire is an essential part of the ecosystem because it allows the ecosystem to change.
