While I’m not sure which motorcycles are the most pollutive, my research did reveal something interesting about the green-ness (or lack thereof) of motorcycles. Motorcycles only account for 1% of vehicles on US roads, but they account for 10 percent of vehicular pollution. While their engines are twice as efficient (and thus emit less carbon dioxide), they emit large amounts of nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, and carbon monoxide, all of which are bad for the environment.
