Which has more government subsidies– oil or alternative energy?

    Between 2002 and 2008, subsidies going to companies dealing with oil and coal have received about $72 billion, while the renewable energy sector only got $29 billion. Fossil fuels get more government help than do renewable energies. Unfortunately, I can’t find specific numbers for the oil business.
