Which fuel used for cooking pollutes the least?

    While all of the cooking fuels pollute, the one that pollutes least out of propane, charcoal briquettes, lump charcoal and electric cooking is propane. It produces 5.6 pounds of carbon dioxide an hour while the other three produce 11, 7, and 15 respectively.

    The best form of cooking fuel is biogas.  Biogas is composed of methane produced by human or animal waste.  This may be burned cleanly without any health risks.  Also, the burning of methane limits its release into the atmosphere.  This is very environmentally beneficial because methane contributes to the process of global climate change.
