The United States produces the most e-waste at 3 million tonnes annually. China is second, producing 2.3 million tonnes (excludes imported e-waste). It is expected that the sales of electronic products in China, India, and other countries in Africa and Latin America will increase in the next 10 years causing an increase in e-waste production in those countries, causing concern for public health and the environment.
