There are still countries that have yet to industrialized; like Somalia and Afghanistan, which function without government in a state of anarchy, they has no industry to speak of. Eventually every country will industrialize in some way, but as of now there are still non-industrial countries.
There are three categories of countries that political scientists use to describe the levels of world development: Economically Developed Countries, Economically Developing Countries, and Lesser Developed Countries. Lesser Developed Countries or (LDCs) have not yet gone through an industrial revolution. There are many of these countries that exist throughout the world, especially in the southern hemisphere —Africa, South America, and Pacific Islands.
