New Zealand follows closely with 724 cars per 1,000 people and the U.S. is not far behind with 687 cars per 1,000 people. A country’s number of vehicles per capita tends to corollate with the size of its economy and its Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Monaco has the most motor vehicles per 1000 people, 863 motor vehicles per 1000 people. This is followed by the US at 828 and Liechtenstein at 796.
