Which countries still use chemicals that are banned in the U.S.?

    Many countries that have insect and mosquito problems still use DDT to kill the insects. DDT was banned in the US because of the environmental impacts that includes bioaccumulation in birds that affected the hardness of their egg shells. According to Wikipedia, in 2006 13 countries still used DDT to fight off malaria and other insect-transmitted diseases.
