It is highly likely that Starbucks has the largest carbon footprint of any coffee company. They are by far the largest and although they have organic and fair trade coffees, they have immense amounts of shipping to supply coffee to all the cafes that they operate. I have worked at a number of Starbucks that didn’t have proper recycling set-up as well as a number of Starbucks that didn’t have proper food donation. Though Starbucks does many things to give back to communities and keep their footprint in check, they still probably are the largest consumer of any coffee company.
