The Classical Civilizations are considered to have lasting influence over vast numbers of people. Traditionally held classical civilizations are India, China, and Mediterranian civilizations.
The term “Classical Civilization” is a term dreamed up by Europeans. Europeans tended to think that cultures in the northern hemisphere were superior to those in the southern hemisphere. In psychology, we call this a self-serving bias. Most people have it. Europeans made maps where the northern hemisphere was much larger than the southern hemisphere, and put themselves at the top of the map.
So, in answer to your question, any civilization in the Southern hemisphere would not be considered classical. This includes most African civilizations such as Ghana, Shongay, Kanem, Dahomey and ba-Kongo. Ironically, modern scientists have determined that the human species originated in Africa.
