The most common cause of chemical injuries to the eye include household cleaning products such as soap, bleach, and ammonia. Pesticides and fertilizers also contain chemicals that can harm the eye. Cosmetics such as nail polish, remover, and perfume can also cause chemical related injuries to the eye.
