There are lots of good environmental reads out there for teenagers. Eco books.com has a pretty extensive list of some good youth books on environmental and social issues. Amazon also has a few categories on environmentalism. The link below takes you to some popular teenage non-fiction on global warming and climate change.
I recommend Silent Spring by Rachel Carson. It is an environmental classic that still resonate strongly in today’s state of affairs. This book sparked the US Environmental Movement in the 60’s and 70’s and led to the creation of the most comprehensive and strongest environmental laws we have today like the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, National Environmental Policy Act, etc… It is packed with scientific information and keen observations of the people and the environment around them. It is not a terribly long book.
