Which is better – writing or texting?

That depends on how many times you intend to read the person’s note. The energy it takes to send and read a text message is proportional to the amount of time that the screen needs to be illuminated to display it. So, if you are writing and reading a long message that the person on the receiving end may want to read several times, it would be better to write. For short notes, texting is more appropriate. I live in Texas for seven years writing to my pen pal in California, and I think that there is something very warm and personal about a hand-written letter. I think that letter writing is an art that unfortunately is on its way to getting lost.
