Goji berries, which are found in the Himalayan, are known as a super food. They are said to boost energy, increase men’s sperm count, help with complexion, it helps make the kidneys and livers healthier, is an a great antioxidant and a wealth of other health benefits including decreasing one’s chances for cancer.
Many experts agree that blueberries are the most nutritious berry. Some even goes as far to say that it is the most nutritious fruit. Besides being low in calories, it is packed full of antioxidants, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B1, beta-carotene, potassium, zinc, iron, magnesium and good fiber. However, there is no one universally agreed upon berry to take the number one spot. There are also plenty of advocates for the trendier, but still incredibly nutritious, goji and acai berries.
Berries in general are very healthy and full of antioxidants. Smirrah mentions blueberries, which are known as a “super-food.” Bburg8687 mentions the goji berry, which is also full of health benefits. Another very nutritious berry is the acai berry. The acai berry comes from Central and South America. The berry has a lot of antioxidants which are believed to help reduce the risk of diseases like cancer and heart disease. Some studies have shown that the acai berry has higher levels of antioxidants than other berries, but this is still being researched.
