Which auto makers in the U.S. are the worst for fuel efficiency?

    According to CNN, the worst US automaker in terms of fuel efficiency is, not surprisingly, Hummer.  The company has 3 cars that have an average mileage of 14.66 mpg.  Hummer ranks 9 on a top 10 list of the worst fuel-efficient automakers with Bugatti and Lamborghini holding the number 1 and 2 spots.

    The worst cars, in terms of fuel efficiency, are all the high end luxury sports cars. The Lambhorgini Murcielago tops this list, getting 13 mpg on the highway! In terms of more mid-priced cars, the Chevrolet Suburban and Dodge Challenge consume the most gas. but when coupled with greenhouse gas emissions, they aren’t the worst offenders. Here is the 2009 list of America’s most polluting cars according to AutoBrag Blog:

    The most fuel efficient car, all around (city and highway), is the Honda Prius.
