Wolves are animals that mate for life, and are generally monogamous. They live together in pairs for their entire lives, and babies are usually born in the spring. In the summer, while the pups grow up, the adults hunt singly and when autumn comes around, the pups join the hunting pack and both parents teach them to hunt and kill prey. A family group of about five members stay together and form a hunting pack.
