Which animals are most protective of their babies?

Well, the general answer to this question would be: all animals. All animals, whether in the wild or domesticated, are very protective of their young. In particular, however, animals such as alligators and hippos are more aggresive when protecting their babies. Hippos are in particular fearlessly protective of their turf and young, and have killed hundreds of people in Africa, which is more than any other wild animal. Alligators are also very protective, and don’t hestitate to attack anything that “comes too close or looks like it is aggressive and could kill one of the baby alligators.”
