Where was the first sustainable home built?

If you really think about it, all homes were once sustainable. Homes have more often been renovated and made sustainable, and the word has spread through home and garden expos across the nation. Cities and communities are taking steps both big and small to increase sustainability in homes and neighborhoods. For example, there is a street in Sacramento, CA that is known as the city’s first green street, and plans are in motion to green the entire community over time.

Some developers are now creating sustainable communities as well as retail and office spaces. Check out the link below for an article about just-launched plans to create London’s first sustainable suburb.
