Yes, Teddy Roosevelt and John Muir were friends. The two men bonded over their love of nature. Most famously, they took an extended hiking trip through Yosemite National Park together.

Together, the two men created several national parks in America. The National Park Service website calls Muir “the Father of the National Park Service.”
