The Serengeti forest is in Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Tanzania is in East Africa surrounded in part by the Indian Ocean, Mozambique, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Serengeti National Park is in the north of the country and one of the most famous national parks in Africa. It is also the oldest national park in the country and the most popular due to the famed wildebeest that mate and mark their territory in the park.
The park is a world heritage site and also one of the seven wonders of the world.
The Serengeti forest is located in northern Tanzania and in southwestern Kenya. The Serengeti ecosystem is home to the Serengeti National Park as well as conservation areas and game reserve areas. The term Serengeti Maasai language meaning “Endless Plains”, and at around 12,000 square miles in size, it is just that. It is a unique region in that it has several rivers and forests in an area that is surrounded by a dry almost desert-like environment.
