I’m a bit confused by your question–do you mean longest physical train (as in number of cars), or are you looking for the longest distance traversed by one train? Since the first interpretation is the most literal, I’ll handle that one! The longest train ever was a freight train in Australia–there were 732 cars, totaling a train 7.353 km in length! It required eight engines!
