Where is the largest palm tree forest?

One of the largest palm forests in the world is the Vai Palm Forest, on the Greek island of Crete. This small Mediterranean island is home to a forest of 5,000 “naturally” growing palm trees, there are legends that the trees grew from the dates of Arab traders who anchored there.

The largest palm “forest” in the world is actually a palm oil plantation. The rain forests of Borneo are being clear cut to create a 4.4 million acre palm oil plantation. This will be the world’s largest palm “forest” without question, if you are willing to call it a forest.
