Over the next year, Electric Transportation Engineering Corporation (eTec), ECOtality, Inc.(OTCBB: ETLY) and car manufacturer Nissan will partner-up to assess local grid systems and deploy the US’ largest electric vehilce and charging infrastructure. This will create a network of electric vehicle charging stations in five major US regions (Tennessee, Oregon, San Diego, Seattle and the Phoenix/Tucson region) with approximately 12,500 Level 2 (220V) charging systems and 250 Level 3 (fast-charge) systems. Fast-charge stations will be situated at 20-mile intervals along major highways around these target markets.
