Where is the habitat of a monkey?

    Monkeys have a preference for rainforests. They live in Asia, Africa, and Central and South America. Depending on the land that they live on, a monkey could live in the trees or on the ground.

    Keep in mind there are many different types of monkeys with different ecological niches they could live in.

    There are over 260 species of monkey and they have their homes across Asia, Africa, Central America, and South America.  They can live on mountains, in plains, grasslands, in trees, or on the ground.

    Brazil has the most different monkey species.  If you are looking to see many different monkeys you can find 80 of the more than 250 known species in Brazil.
